Fassa, already a partner of GBC Italia (Green Building Council) and CasaClima, in 2013 voluntarily signed up to the “Italian Environmental Footprint Assessment Program”, developed by the Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea, aimed at determining the carbon footprint across the product life cycle. Carbon footprint is a way of expressing in terms of CO2 the total greenhouse gas emissions associated directly or indirectly with a product, organisation or service. The "Activity report for carbon footprint calculation" is also called the ECR - External Communication Report.
